Each additional level of training will incur a subsequent cost for the materials, currently around £12 per pack
Members may also need to budget for a medical to check their fitness to dive, most people need only sign a self declaration certificate however some illnesses need to be referred to a medical referee.
BSAC membership is slightly cheaper for higher qualified divers, also second members at the same address can join as abated members, abated members do not receive their own copy of Dive magazine but in all other ways the membership is exactly the same.
